Gouda is a town in the province of South Holland in The Netherlands which is famous for its 'Gouda-cheese'. But Gouda has more than cheese only, because one can find there some interesting ancient buildings and canals as well. Therefore this time an image of one the canals in its town centre

Hope you like this image too. Thank you in advance for your comment.

That looks so nice..I spent some time in Amsterdam last year.We took the ferry from Newcastle. The wife won't go back as she was seasick.I think i would have preferred Gouda by the look of it..R.

Nice place, Cornelius. The drivers that parked their cars just on the brim of the canal should be careful not to jump in the canal. :)

Cornelius - A quintessential scene of The Netherlands, seeing the canal and its boats, with the narrow streets on each side, and the multiple story steep-roofed buildings. I like the composition of the photo with the trees forming a curve in which the sky is shown with the spire as the focal point. Superb photography my friend. Thad

So much to see and take in. Hard to imagine so much going on in such a limited space. I do enjoy this perspective, especially the boats in the canal. Thank you for sharing your views.

This is another beautiful shot of Gouda. I am trying to figure out how the cars on the right are going to get out of the parking spaces. It doesn't look like they have room to drive down the street..and there are trees and bikes in the way, too. It must be a lot wider than it looks. Very nice image, Mr. C.

Amazing shot Sir C. It looks like those cars to the right could easily end up in the water.

What a wonderfully composed scene with the canal, walk and driveway and the beautiful tower. Taken from the perfect vantage point. A task well performed Sea.

I should think that driving a car around a canal like this would scare me to death! Those roads just weren't built for cars. lol That tiny little rail isn't going to stop anything.

I LOVE CHEESE!!!!
