In Holland a lot of traditional windmills have the name of 'De Lelie' (The Lily). This one can be found near the village of Koudekerke on the peninsula Walcheren in the province of Zeeland. The mill was built in 1872 and reconstructed in 1981.

Hope you like this image. Thank you in advance for your comment.

The white windmill stands out so beautifully against that bright sky! A very nice capture Cornelius - very well composed and sharp on focus.

She is a fine looking Mill with a beautiful name.
Great photograph Cornelius. The clouds look very fresh and white against the clear blue sky and compliment the white of De Lelie so well.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It looks so cool and close that I tried blowing on it. I think the blades did quiver a bit.
Good one Sea.
Good health to you and yours.

Very intriguing and lovely post Cornelius!! I am wondering about the 'poles' behind the blades, what is there purpose and how do the 'blades' turn if they are full of holes so to speak?? Are the poles a temporary support for some restructuring or are they permanent and have a purpose that this American does not understand??? Nice picture buddy:)

Mich
