Cornelius - The varied tones and textures of these old guildhalls make this a challenging photo to capture well. But, you nailed it, controlling the reflected light of the window panes, and the light and dark tones of the decorative stone facades, and details in all. It is safe to declare that, "They don't build them like this anymore!". Excellent work, my friend. Thad
An excellent detailed photo. I enjoy the crisp details and repeating lines and patterns. Thank you for sharing your travels. I recently read they put on a grand holiday light show there as well.
It sure is one beautiful place and your photograph is outstanding Sea. I might have cropped the top left so there was no sky, just building in the shot. I realize you would have lost the corner of the building. Just me thinking and typing out loud. :) Good health to you and yours.
I always admire your crisp and finely detailed photos, my friend. This is another one! Fine details are amazing. Three sections of different textures of architecture in your composition is great. The color content of this photo is superb. Golden and ivory colors of stone walls and artwork on the building are very nice. But nicer than this is the colors of the flowers in front of the windows. Green and red-orange colors of this flowers definetely has great technical quality with great natural look. Very well done, my friend.
Magnificent shot Sir C!! The building is stunning and so beautiful. I love all the flowers...it just makes the building all the more pleasing to look at:)
The architecture is so elaborate and of course, I am enamored of the flower boxes. Don't see those too much around here. They make nice repetitive elements in the shot to compliment the repetitiveness of the many window panes. A good view to draw attention to both.
