Distinguished is the first word that comes to mind for me, Cornelius. This flower just stands out as if I could touch it. Such exceptional detail and sharpness. I would have given it a one in conjunction with a zero making it a 10 vote. But I told you because I cannot do so anonymously.
I too am frustrated by idiots (An idiot, dolt, or dullard is a mentally deficient person, or someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way. ...) who engage themselves in folly and mischief just to make themselves feel better. Would, no doubt, be best to pity the unfortunate blokes and bimbos for their lives must have little meaning otherwise.

I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments expressed.The person/persons (cowards) are a blight on the site.We should be able to offer our images for evaluation without being repeatedly plagued by such stupidity .

I know your frustration so very well Cornelius. Just about every image I post receives a 0, 1, or 2. I think it's more or less a competition for those who choose to vote low on high quality images & in the end no one benefits. I wish they'd open their eyes & take a good look at what they are viewing.

Now to your image ... A beautiful daisy which is one of my fave summer flowers. Good lighting, detail, DOF, & composition. Some may say to clone out the green bud, but I like it included as it give the image a bit more perspective. I'm guessing you used your macro lens on this shot & per your usual you did a wonderful job behind the lens.

I'm not sure how you know what they are giving you as all I ever see is the overall score but I can't imagine anyone giving you anything close to that with the quality of your images. I'm sorry I won't get to vote on this as it is very sharp, interesting and well composed. Once again you deliver a beautiful capture my friend.

Before I even opened this picture..I knew it was a Daisy. Well I love you Mr C! I have gotten some zero's on my photo's maybe some people here are just plain old mean sprited. Your pictures are too good to ever get a zero or one. Shame on them who do that!

Answer to Stephen's question above: click with your left hand mouse button on 'Control Panel/Caedes Control' at the left side of a Caedes page. Once in 'Caedes Control' a list of your images with all kind of relevant data is displayed. Go to the column 'Votes' of the image which data is desired and click again with your left hand mouse button on the number of votes figure. A summary of individual votes will be displayed than.

Lovely foofy image Cornelius. I know what you mean about the VB. I have somebody who regularly gives my images (both swans and the lighthouse) a zero. I ignore them but I'd just love to know why.

I think all of us that have had enough with the vindictive voters out there, should band together and not put any into the VB, Sea.
After a while there would be none to vote on and the VB would do away with itself.

I understand your frustration so well! I think it is an act of being self centered, and can't accept others fine works for what they are. I'm sorry your not putting it in the VB, but can understand why! None of your works deserve a 1! Mr. C. I wonder if Jerry (Caedes) could find this person? I bet he could! This is beautifull taken, and presented. Maybe we should all pm and ask for help on this matter.

Amazingly Beautiful Sir C!!! I think you are a awesome photographer and certainly deserve more than a 1 for your work. A 1 is an insult. I agree with Thad's comment above and surely Geri has a way to find out who is doing that.

There is another thread in the forums where Geri points out that the way the vb works is that people who consistently vote very low get their votes mathematically (Automatically) adjusted to reflect that fact, so their negativity gets canceled out. It is offensive or a bit confronting to see that zero or that one against one of your good shots, but the actual effect of that number (If it came from a repeat offender.) is not so big on your c-index. For the record, someone who votes very high for all shots, thus showing a similar lack of respect for the images in the vb is similarly reduced in effect by the balancing algorithms in the vb software. If I can find that forum thread I'll come back and link to it here. I think it was titled "Voting Zero" or something similar.
Anyway - this is a great shot Mr C and I hope the negative effects of the unjust voting quickly wash away for you.
