This 'acrobat' was captured in the garden of my wife while it was performing its 'acrobatic act' on a Physostegia Virginiana 'Summer Snow'.

Hope you'll like this image. Thanks in advance for your comment.

Cornelius - These busy acrobats are hard at work all day long, oblivious to our presence, so long a there is pollen to be collected. Painting my house, I worked around the flowering plants of one garden, scraping and painting, while they merrily buzzed around doing their work. Nicely focused, with a shallow dof, you have provided an interesting composition as well. Terrific work, my friend. Thad

Nice and sharp focus not only on the bee but also on the flowers and the plant Cornelius. The white flowers on the bright green look wonderful and the "bee bonus" makes this an excellent image.

Top notch work here, Mr. C. Beautiful focus on the foofies with the bee, and beautifully blurred in all the right places. Fantastic post.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Beautiful white flowers which I think are called 'Obedient plant' too. I have only seen them in pink. And the bee is crystal clear. As I look at this beauty amidst a sea of green, I am thinking it would be a perfect entry for the current contest.

I would have been tempted to present this in a vertical fashion and cropped the right side Sea. I just think it would draw the eye immediately to the acrobat. Don't get me wrong, that is just a thought and I still like the photo.
Good health to you and yours.

The acrobatic bee is so crisp & clear. Beautiful white flowers too. I'm with Tick on the vertical presentation ... in other words cropping the right half of the image. I think it will draw the eye in more to the subjects as well. Your focus is spot on though & color balnce is perfect. Beautifully captured, Cornelius & thanks again for sharing your wife's lovely garden.

It's a great capture (just gave it high marks in the booth) but I think there's a bit too much bokeh involved in the shot. Cropping in from the bottom and the right, perhaps even as much as 50% of the area, would still provide good bokeh but put more emphasis on the main subject, the bee at work. I'm always looking for the photo within the shot. Just a thought.
