Traditional windmills in the Netherlands usually have their own name. As always, there are exceptions to the rule. This one, for instance, got no name after it was built in 1704. Therefore people mentioned this mill 'Herdink's Mill' because the late mr. Herdink was its owner. 'Herdink's Mill' can be found on the peninsula South Beveland, Zeeland, the Netherlands near the small town of Goes.

Hope you'll like this image. Thanks in advance for your comment.

PS: nowadays the mill is still capable of grinding. It grinds from time to time, but mostly for demonstrations to tourists.

I would love to have a windmill like this right next to the house. You think my neighbors would think me crazy if I built one? LOL. Gorgeous shot, Mr. C. I always love seeing your windmills.

A super capture of Mt Herdink's Mill Cornelius..
Great composition and I like the way the white hydrangeas (?) contrast against and soften the lines and angles of the rest of the image, and also match the fluffy clouds.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . I would love to see a mill such as this one in action ... grinding that is. As mentioned the angle is perfect & the sky / clouds make a wonderful background while bringing out all the details of the windmill & surroundings. Magnificent capture, Cornelius.
