What about mooring your boat on this tiny island in the Lake of Veere, Zeeland, the Netherlands? It's for several reasons impossible. I suppose that you'll agree with me.

Roger (palral) said in his comment on my 'Play Of Light And Shadow 3' image: "It would be nice to see a flub in one of your shots from time to time." In order to try to fulfil his request, I've posted this one (lol). Hope however you'll still like this image. Thanks in advance for your comment.

Edit: the tree is a wild (not planted) apple tree.

Is that a plum tree I see before me?....I think you'd need a Landing craft to get on that Island..Good catch of the Heron too...R.

Of course I do, water, boat, what's there not to like? Great shot, Cornelius, I love it.

Seems a lot of negative space on the left My friend!....Pulling the bird in may give us a better look at him!

I think the tree is apple?...Richie can't see clear without bifocals!...lol

excellent scene here, and well snapped too

No Cornelius, one has to stay on the boat while the other person collects the fruits. The heron is an extra bonus in this image.

Fraaie hoek, die de compositie erg goed maakt, rustegevende foto. De situatie met de reiger en meerkoetje is erg leuk vastgelegd. Wat zijn die rode 'vruchten' aan de boom? Groet Michel

Very nice capture, and I agree that the inclusion of the heron is a great addition. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I suppose it would be impossible for a normal person to do it but I would be an experanced sailor such as yourself could. Great capture by the way.

Well, good luck to Roger in finding a flub, because I certainly can't. The scene is delightful and I can see why no boat will moor there, but I can also see why it is such an attractive place for the wildlife. Love that apple tree. Beautiful image, Cornelius.

I guess then, that is a Flub Heron in the shot, eh, Mr. C. LOL. Are the apples edible from that tree, or are they the forbidden fruit? Beautifully done, Sir.

I've identified the heron as a Yellow-crowned Night Heron. Though I can't make out what the other little guy is. :)
The apple tree is a wonderful addition to this capture as much as the heron. Beautiful detail and excellent sun light. Looks like a very lovely place to spend a autumn day. Wonderfully done

I noticed the red apples & also, the heron perched on a log immediately. It would be difficult to moor a boat here, especially if one thought about picking some delicious apples to enjoy for the ride back home. Don't think I'd try standing up in a boat to try it either. Excellent colors & textures in this capture ... very well done, Cornelus.

For god's sake, Cornelius!!! Don't listen to anything that Roger says. The guy's completely nuts. Did you know that all of his postings are taken with Kodak disposable cameras that use film. That nutwad bought thousands of them after there was a train wreck near his house. Most of the box cars were filled with the old cameras; so he towed a box car to his house using his bicycle. Just between you and me, I think the guy doesn't have a clue; so you should never listen to him and avoid him at all costs.

Not much of a flub that I can see. The coot below right of the heron seems to have a little bit of cloning smear. Other than that, I don't see anything. Sorry to disappoint.

There is a lot to see in this small patch of shoreline. No wonder the hen and heron seem so content. I haven't seen many apple trees in the wild. A wonderful focal point for the scene. The harsh light seems difficult to work with. I would like to see that apple tree in the early morning light too.
