Made my eyes go right to the focal point. Well composed again, Cornelius. What amazing dunes. Could pass for Cape Cod. Looks like a wonderful day there.
I think this is lovely, and the forground detail is wonderful too with all the different shades of green. Like Dunstickin mentions - you tease us that the sea is just over there! Well done! Ann
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
The lighting in the clouds makes the shot. As far as I'm concerned, you could have stopped right there. Nonetheless it's nice to see the mountainous and hilly region of The Netherlands. (snicker snicker).
I'm reminded of "2012" and a few other sci-fi films that feature gigantic waves washing ashore because of a meteor or asteroid strike in the ocean. The people in the films are always running for high ground and the waves crash higher and higher. In every one of these movies, the Statue of Liberty in New York is tipped on its side and under hundreds of meters of water.
Maybe you and Noah should get together and build an ark because there's no place for you to hide.
