This female shepherd and her dog have the flock completely under control. A matter of cooperation.

Image was taken on a inland dike on the peninsula South-Beveland, Zeeland, the Netherlands.

Hope you'll like this image. Thanks in advance for your comment.

It's obvious they have been recently at the wool-dresser. Or is it a wool-stylist? LOL Lovely scene, so timid and peaceful.

~Obedience~?

Wor-Lass made sure I knew the meaning of that!!!

You got a canny capture of these shorn sheep..(I thought they were goats, at first!)

I always enjoy seeing these masterful dogs at work

You've caught the intensity on the dogs face very well. Is that a Border Collie. They are amazing animals. Great capture !

This is a brilliant capture of these sheep and that working dog. I like the dappled sunlight too. I hope for the sheep's sake that the weather kept warm after being shorn. I love the whole composition, light and colour in this too. Well done!

What a lovely capture of country life Cornelius. Super composition and the bright splash of red on the shephers jacket completes the scene

It is strange for mne to see fully grown sheep with tails. Our lambs have their tails docked very young.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Looks like two of the sheep have other ideas. Those dogs do such a great job of herding. Just as you do a great job of photographing.
Thanks for posting this most interesting and delightful image, Cornelius.

A fine shot here Sir C. A bit of Biblical meaning in there too for me. Nice work.

On the previous posting I was viewing, there was a biblical narrative. When I saw the tiny version of this shot, I was sure that I saw Jesus holding a staff. The mind can play tricks. I'd be a great witness after a bank robbery. "Yes, officer. He had a beard and long hair, blue eyes, he was wearing a robe and had a staff."

Looks like the two sheep on the right are headed off the beaten path in their search for a wolf.

There's something weird about the focus. It's not quite as sharp as most of your shots which are typically perfect. Makes me think that this was a telephoto that you cropped. Either that or I should wear goggles while sanding the wood beams on my ceiling.

Beautiful light in this Cornelius. Aussie sheep all have their tales docked due to problems with flies. Great pastoral scene.

Looks like that is either a Border Colle or an Australian Shepherd or a mix...they are awesome dogs, sometimes too much dog to own if you are not active and/or home much of the time. And re the obedient sheep...yes indeed...however, I spy two potential rebels contemplating a trip downhill on the far right! :) Great subject, thanks.
