It's raining cats and dogs again in the area where I live. This month we had already 160 mm's of rain, and that's extraordinary for us. I've read in the newspaper this morning that this summer here has reached the top 5 of wettest summers ever. Every dry day, whether the shun is shining or not, I try to go out for a photo shoot. This image was taken on such a day. Depicted is the village of Domburg and partly its beach in Zeeland, the Netherlands. In this time of the year (holiday time here) the beach normally is crowded with people. Now there are only a few, not to enjoy the sun, but probably the fresh air and the dramatic sky. Complaining is meaningless as we have to take the weather like it comes, and even try to use its advantages.

Hope you'll enjoy this image. Thanks in advance for your comment.

The grass looks wet Cornelius but the buildings look well "washed" :) Nice image with good clarity and that moody sky above.

You weather is complete the opposite of ours this Summer. HOT, HOT and HOTTER...and DRY! The corn prices are going to skyrocket from it all!....Your take on this scene is absolutely beautiful, Mr. C. The sky IS very dramatic and gorgeous.

A lovely scene Cornelius. The overcast sky is quite beautiful.

Weather has gone mad. We are having the coldest winter for 30+ years

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Very dramatic shot Sir C! With those clouds I certainly understand why it is raining so hard. Jim is right when he speaks of the opposite weather here.

I think this is so beautifully captured, and presented by you Mr. C. I noticed that lighter cloud that is setting right over the top of the tower on towards the right of the lovely scene. My county here in Indiana is among the driest in this area, they say there is a chance but we have heard that one before. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Lucht, water en land verenigd tot één beeld dat een zekere tristesse lijkt uit te stralen.Van zomer is voorlopig helaas geen sprake.Maar ook bij dit weer zijn boeiende opnamen te maken, zoals deze,Cornelius.

That really is a very threatening sky indeed, looks like some people are leaving. Magnificent capture and scene. Gorgeous colours and composition. I see you have lots of big Turbine windmills over there in the distance

People are always commenting what a flat land you live in, yet you seem to find high elevations to take these expansive and beautiful landscapes, Cornelius. Wonderful image. We could use some of that rain right across the ocean to the West. Wish you could send some over. lol

We could use some of that rain here. The Grand River is getting quite shallow (3 feet)...and not enough rain in sight to catch back up. Not enough snow in the winter and it is showing more and more now. Wonderful shot!
