In the Netherlands, so in the province of Zeeland as well, in former days many different traditional costumes were worn. Nowadays this phenomenon has almost gone. Yet there is a certain nostalgy for what was once. For this reason, traditional markets are held each year. This image has been taken on such a market in the little town of Veere (sorry, website is only available in the Dutch language). Lots of residents, from young to old, have changed their daily costume into a traditional one to show to tourists how it was before.
By the expression on their faces, you can clearly see that the young ladies are patienty (??, lol) waiting for their presentation to the audience. Anyhow, they don't have nothing to complain about a lack of interest. I think that tomorrow, when the girls go to school in their normal clothes again, noone will recognize them. I also think that then they have to get used to a lack of interest.
I hope you'll like this picture. Thanks in advance for your comment.
