One from the bin again. This image was taken during a stroll at the end of November (2012) in the dunes of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, the Netherlands.
I hope that you'll like it. Thanks in advance for your comment.
This is an immediate favorite for me...I love the water and beach not to mention those lovely grasses in the foreground, neutral tones, and that great angle and expansive view...well done Mr. C.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Reminds me of prairie grass, except there is too much water and too many people, Sea. Throw in a ship and you know it is not the prairie. Although they did have Prairie Schooners. Well composed and good lines.
Wish we had a sunny day today. We've had winds gusting up to 66mph (106kph) this morming and Scotland's had it much worse than us and the east coast is forecast to have the biggest storm surge and high tide in 60 years! Lovely image Cornelius, sunny but cold looking!
This is a beautiful scene with the golden grasses and blue sea and skies Mr. C. I also like the diagonal lines in the center of the comp to complement the curves.
Cornelius - There is a unique beauty to a beach in the winter - color tones very different from those of summer, with lower angled sunlight to offer shadows and contrasts - all captured beautifully here. Thad
Magnificent capture and scene, gorgeous depth and composition. Really like the way the shoreline leads your eyes up to the cargo freighter, love that grass to protect landscape of sand.
