This image was captured in a nature preserve at the most southern part of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, the Netherlands.

Hope you'll like it. Thanks in advance for your comment.

Edit: some of my friends are thinking that this is a Fall image. This image however is taken in January. Although the quality of the image is reduced by upload size limitations, I think that at full screen size can be seen that the trees on the left side of this image are already blooming. Normally we have snow and frost in January as well. As far as I know it's the first time that some people in my area got hay fever in this time of the year. When compared to the severe wintry conditions in parts of the USA and Canada think there's a big contrast.

A lovely scene Mr C. I think those that hibernate 'need' to stay well hidden at the moment!...
we put out for it!
We have a butterfly in a small room...and only comes out of hibernation when the heating goes on, and chews on a piece of banana.

Very nice Cornelius. A reminder that sooner or later, all of mother nature's living things will awake and take on their colors.

What a beautiful scene to see when awakening from hibernation, SEA.
Once again you have composed a perfect setting.
You are meticulous in your work.

This is so well done Mr. C. the sharpness, and clarity, with the composition, and very nice natural color tones really makes this a beautiful image, even though the trees are bare. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Nothing beats a warm autumn day in terms of colours, tones and hues. Also the air has a special smell then. Fresh, yet with slight fragrance of decay which - in modest amounts - is elegant and charming.
Oh, memories ... :)
