I have visited the city of Bruges in our southern neighbor country Belgium and have captured 'some' images there. A good reason to start a new series in which I, from time to time, will show your some aspects of this wonderful historic city (a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO).

I hope you'll enjoy this series. Thanks in advance for your comment.

I think SAM speaks for all of us SEA concerning your photography.
This makes me want to travel to your part of the world.
I am guessing it was about 12:30 when you took this shot.

Ben in mijn 'jonge'jaren een aantal keren in Brugge geweest, alhoewel ik nu betwijfel of ik toen ook oog had voor de schoonheid van de stad
Leuke herinneringen, Cornelius. Ben benieuwd naar het vervolg

Love the capture Cornelius and look forward to some more. This similar kind of scenic with old buildings is what I have seen in so many old paintings. And I really appreciate art.

I have to agree also with SAM and Thad's assessment of this image and heartily looking forward to your new series if this is any indication what to expect...a marvelous composition with lots for the eye to enjoy, especially for those of us who have never been to Europe or personally witnessed the old architecture and quaint old bridges such as you have here...I'll start by faving this one right away.

Lovely scene Mr. C. I'd like the white one with domed top and blue shutters. Is that a boat house door on the lower level?

Everyone that visits Bruges says it's a "must-see" place. On this evidence they are right. (It's shown really well in the very funny but violent film In Bruges.)

When I view this one I have to wonder how they waterproof the homes and I'm guessing there are no levels (basements) below the water level. I see that river "dock" outside the door of the middle home and think that if I lived here it would be a great place for my kayak, allowing me a leisurely way to visit my neighbors. -Nik

I love to see pictures taken of European locales, I was there many years ago and managed to take a few good 35mm slides with my little Brownie box camera! This one is nice, old world and quaint.
