The Dutch Navy 'Holland-class' offshore/ocean going patrol vessels HMNLS 'Friesland' (P842) and HMNLS 'Groningen' (P843) while undergoing extensive maintenance by the 'Damen-shipyard' in Flushing, Zeeland, the Netherlands. This series of ships are named after Dutch provinces. Such ships are called 'sister ships' because they are identical and ships are female as well.

Hope you'll like this one. Thanks you in advance for your comment.

Mr. C. this is a good example of perfect composition and a well written narrative. The sisters make a nice post for the day.

A fascinating rear view of the sisters Cornelius. The elder sister P842 has better "make up". Nice and interesting shot

I'm seeing double, Cornelius! I think P843 needs more work than her sister. Nice photo.

Not unlike "Sister Cities," SEA.
Are cities male or female?
You left me a lot to ponder.
Good shot by the way.

When I saw your title I did wonder if all ships were female and, again, you showed that all I needed was a little patience and read the narrative ;) I found it and your photo quite interesting.

It does seem the p842 is in better shape than her sister - a very interesting narrative Mr. C - I'm learning about marine ways from you and Raj.

It's like a "before and after" shot, the superstructure of 842 being cleaner after loads of elbow grease has been applied. Interesting shot SEA, with good detail.

Marvelous shot of these identical twins, I see the P842 really looks very refreshed and bright. Excellent detail and composition.
