This image was captured on one of the south-west beaches of Flushing, Zeeland, The Netherlands. It was taken on July 24th, 2014. It was a very hot day and at 09.40 PM (the time that I took this image) it was still hot. Think therefore the kids got permission of their parents to continue their playing on the beach, the more they had vacation too. It was a unique opportunity for me to capture the activities for both children and parents while the sun was going down.

Because I prefer to have a variety of images in my gallery, I didn't uploaded this one up till now. Thought however that this one doesn't belong in the bin forever. Hope you'll agree with me and please enjoy it. Thanks in advance for your comment.

This is an excellent sunset shot Cornelius and definitely does not deserve to be in the bin. Beautiful red glow overall and clear details everywhere.

What a beautiful sunset so late in the day. The silhouetted people at the water's edge must be in awe to witness such a beautiful scene. A fantastic photo, Cornelius!

I recall my holiday in the Netherlands, how nighttime always appeared so late and allowing me to get the most out of my 3 week visit to your country.

Could easily be used as a tourism poster for Flushing. You make everyone want to be there, at that spot, at that time of day, beach ball and blanket in hand.

This is excellent on so many levels Mr. C - first the colors let you know it's hot like glowing embers. Second the composition is perfect with the rule of thirds at play, and lastly the silhouettes are also perfect neither too dark nor too light. The words all above have use like stupendous and brilliant are certainly applicable.

Had you not taken this out voluntarily I suspect it would have eventually burnt a hole in your bin, lol...much too 'hot' to hide...a rich and blazing beach sunset shot and a fave for me.
