Often this question is put forward to me: "Are the traditional windmills in your country still are functioning?" My answer is: "Most of them, because functioning extend their lifetime because to stand still is to go backwards."
I thought it would be nice to provide you with a visual proof of its functioning. Therefore I fixed my camera on a tripod in front of the windmill and then I took in a very brief time two single NEF/RAW-images that both were saved separately. Than I used the 'image overlay' function in my camera in order to create a single picture. This new picture was saved at current image quality and size settings before creating an overlay.
This image was taken in the village of Westkapelle, peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands. The name of the windmill is 'De Noorman' (text only available in the Dutch language, but it shows some interesting images).
Hope you'll like the result. Thanks in advance for your comment.
