The sun rays of the setting sun have illuminated these birches on the shadow side of the slope of an embankment, so creating a rather strange effect.

Shooting these trees in a low light angle makes them look like soldiers advancing toward the enemy, leaning into their deadly business. Dirty white pantaloons are a strong contrast to their golden coats, their arms and weapons held high, all below a dark cloud advancing along with them. I often like to visualize common objects in uncommon perceptions, and I find myself doing that regularly with your photos, C. I'm diggin' it.

It almost looks like a high water mark, SEA.
I love the effect. The birch is such a good looking tree.
Don't they have their own society? :)

Het lijkt alsof je ze omgekeerd met de kruin in een grote pot met goudkleurige verf hebt ondergedompeld, en ze daarna weer
terug hebt gezet....(LOL)!

Wonderful perspective. someone did a great job planting the trees to all grow symmetrically.
