Even this famous Dutch admiral had to accept the 'droppings' on his head of this maritime pigeon. I suppose that this 'respectless' gull (lol) has thought: "The admiral might have ruled the sea, but not the air."

I'm just happy that no one will ever build a statue in my honor! Poor Admiral Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter. A fine MM post, Cornelius.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Mr C - this statue deserves better don't you think? Did you chase the gull away? I wonder if they have someone that cleans this handsome admiral daily. Great shot for Manic Monday. Don't know if you noticed, but I see a triangle on the front of the Admiral's uniform.
