Depicted are (from left to right) the tugs 'Sea Golf' (IMO 9405382); 'Dutch Power' (IMO 9547879) and 'Sea Bravo' (IMO 9487029) temporary moored (at the time that I took this capture) in one of the 'inner harbors' of Flushing, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

The official classification of these tugs is 'shallow draft anchor handling tugs'. They are designed to operate in water depths not readily accessible by conventional tugs of deeper draft. These vessels are suitable for a variety of applications including towing, pushing, supply and survey work. Now they are in use on the North Sea as support tug for use in the offshore wind farm industry ( for placing offshore wind turbines). They are fitted with a hydraulic telescoping deck crane and the rear deck space allows for the transportation of cargo, including containers. A feature of the vessels is the push-bow with heavy duty rubber fender.

Great image with a lot of detail of these tugboat workhorses. It would be so interesting to see them at work in the midst of this busy harbor. Bright, clear, and colorful image! Very nice.

If my vessel was ever stranded in the water and "push came to shove," I would want one of these on my side SEA.
