I think you made the right choice of gallery as that's what catches my eye most predominently...lots of lovely hues in that sky and the angle leads the eye way out to what appears a lighthouse and boats way off in the distance...great composition, SEA.
It's amazing how many images you post of the water, and they are all different in their own way.
I like the wooden breakwaters that lead your eye out and create a depth of field, the sailboat and buoy in the distance and the beautiful layers of color.
Either way one looks at this beautiful scene, both galleries would apply. The range of colors is amazing as is your perspective on breakwater. Magnificent Cornelius!

I like how you composted this pic placing the row of wood poles just to the left and the layering of colors with dark sky lime shade of sea and golden sand making a nice effect.
Wow the sky in this is amazing and love the darkness then the golden light below and how it reflects on the beginning of the beach .Plus I like how the tread way splits through the sea giving great presentation and you did a great job capturing the white wave too.
It doesn't matter where you put this shot - happy to see you posted it for us to enjoy and admire. This image presents with so many different colors/hues which complement this image wonderfully. Also that dramatic sky is just glorious!!! As per usual Mr. C. Superior work!!!
This is a beautiful scene Cornelius and I can see why you had trouble deciding on what gallery. I like it very much. One little bit of info if you don't mind me saying. The horizon splits the middle of your image. I have been trying lately to follow the rule of thirds which would mean either 2/3 land 1/3 sky or vice versa. I think your work here is super and you are always right on the money with vivid color and detail also subject matter. You have three wonderful elements: sky, sea, and land. You also have a big bonus of pier post for leading lines. Awesome Mr C.!!!
Hello Frank, The rule of thirds is very well known to me. It is only a GUIDELINE for making a good composition, but it's certainly not a mandatory requirement or doctrine that must be met. The position in this horizon is considered by me seriously. At a 1: 2 ratio either the sky or the beach would have been too prominent. I have tried to find a good balance between the beach and the dramatic sky. The vertical part of this composition (the wooden pilings) however are according the 'rule' of thirds. Our artistic freedom allows this.
