I had my doubts whether I should post this image. I decided to do so, not because of its quality but as, to me, this 'simple' image has the appearance of a surrealistic scene. It shows a flock of birds passing by a wind turbine in the mist at dusk (BTW, please notice the quotes as it wasn't simple to capture this image because of the limited view and the difficult lighting conditions).
This image was taken recently in the sand dunes on the east coast of the peninsula North-Beveland, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

That 39 points focus has really come into effect here Cornelius. Beautiful shot against difficult light conditions. Many birds have been found dead in north Germany where they have been hit by the wind turbines. Well done my friend.

The layered colors of the sky and mist are beautiful, Mr. C. That is an amazing sight, to see the wind turbine sticking out of the mist, with all the birds flying by. I wonder if any birds ever land on one of the blades and go for a ride around and around. lol. I am glad you decided to post this. Excellent job under harsh conditions.

I totally agree about the surreal look to this one, I like it. The wind turbine is being swallowed up by the misty fog, and the birds included is very good. I would say that was a difficult shot, and you did it justice Mr. C. tigs =^..^=

It looks like the birds are trying to do some skywriting SEA. I think they are writing the word LOVE. They must be out for a Valentine's flight.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
I love it Mr C it very artistic looking and would look great as a wall hanger and the colours in this scene are blowaway and I like the soft look to this photo and you can almost hear the call of the birds my friend.So well done snd thank you for sharing this looking scene .

Mr. C., I'm so happy that you decided to post this spectacular image!!! It's something that I haven't seen........Until Now!!! Its absolutely striking. This is totally awesome as Laura said - I've never seen anything like it, I can't imagine how difficult it was to capture and it does look very surreal and very beautiful too. Amazing capture Mr. C.!
