Some of you thought that on my previous Foofy Friday post heather was depicted. I wasn't able to provide you with the proper answer then too. Now I think that the flower in my previous FF post is a species of the Bergenia (aka elephant's ears).

To compensate the lack of providing you with proper information in time (lol), today a Foofy Friday image of heather indeed.

A lovely well composed post!...love those back textures that pull the heather to the eye!...

And, of course the subtle framing is an added bonus!

They are a beautiful little foofy, Mr. C. I love the way they are tucked away in the fall leaves. The color of those elephant ears is very attractive. Another outstanding FF post!

Neither post looks like any elephant ears I've ever seen, lol...these heather nestled in the fall leaves add a nice bit of color and contrast between the two seasons...good post for the day.

You have very nice compstion in this photo with all the different balanced colours that help the delicate flower pop out the screen at you and stunning detail in this photo as well.I also like how you have the leafs of a bush at the top with the sunlight bring out the detail in the leafs too.

The color of the heather is beautiful - it looks like fuschsia and is surrounded nicely by the fall leaves and elephant ears. Great FF post Mr. C. - Very nice!!!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
