The imposing horse chestnut trees in blossom and even without blossoms, although rather common in our area, look so powerful & majestic and thus add a lot to the great composition of this beautiful Sunday image. Sunday spirit would be my title :) SAM & SAAB
I would love to tour that church, Mr. C. and maybe sit and listen to some organ music...if they have a big pipe organ. Outstanding capture in the sunshine and with the beautiful trees surrounding it. Excellent work.
Splendid capture and setting, gorgeous colours and that sky really sets it off. A wonderful posting for Sunday with that tall and proud church beyond. Just love that adorable house in the foreground on the right - in full looks like I see a TV in the first window.
I notice the large horse chestnut tree on the left - undoubtedly it has seen some history as has this beautiful church. We have red horse chestnut around here that is blooming now - your lovely spring image has inspired to go take a shot of the tree nearest to me Mr. C.
You sure have a gift in getting the best location for you photos like this with the church surrounded by Mother Nature and the colours are truly outstanding and what a stunning looking church.I also can feel the silences in this area it is so piece full looking but there must be the sound of song birds all around this church.I also love how the modern builds fit in perfectly with the old and they are some lovely shapes in the windows and church arches too.
Wow, the oldest site or building we have here I believe is the mission in St. Augustine Florida which was built in the early 1500's. Do the bells toll for mass?
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
