In an ancient (1277) document the castle 'Westhove' was already mentioned. In an other document is described that this castle got in 1401 a new owner: the count Willem van Beijeren (William from Bavaria). Other changes of (often Royal) owners (until 1936) can be read in several (historical) documents. The castle has undergone extensive maintenance many times. Nowadays it's open to the public. The main building functions as hotel and restaurant with terraces. An excellent opportunity for a good coffee break after exploring the environmental woods.

Beautifully framed naturally, and I will mention your signature style of composition, which is spot on. Mr. C. this is very well done, and of course that sky sure is a good one too. tigs=^..^=

Wonderful capture with super clarity Cornelius. That sky looks very nice too. Altogether a perfect image with an ideal composition with a framing by the tree branches.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
