A lovely view of this harbour, Mr. C. I am guessing that this is a drawbridge and a very clever one. I have never seen one quite like this one. Bridges and their alternatives always amaze me and I wonder if someone is there to "man the gates" for a ship that may pass at any time. We have bridges here in America that actually turn sideways to allow for the passing of boats and ships that are too high to travel under.
Great capture of this unique bridge Cornelius - I'll bet that it's fun to walk across to the other side - speaking of the other side, the roof lines are fantastic - Excellent!!!!!!

Momma Pat, I've used a Nikon D5300 body, a AF-S Nikkor 18-300mm 1;3.5-5.6 G ED VRII lens, and a Circular Polarization Filter at about 35%. I always take my images in RAW (by Nikon it's called NEF), finally converted into PNG for uploading them to Caedes. So I needed a 'RAW editor' and that's the Adobe Photoshop Camera, version 8.5.0.236 editor.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
