I like to show you another piece of avionic history.

This Tiger Moth II (type DH82A) airplane was manufactured in 1944 by 'De Havilland' (England).

It's a two-seater biplane with a Gipsy Major, 4-cylinder in-line, air cooled, 130 HP, motor.

Nowadays it has a Dutch owner. Image was taken near Zeeland Airport, The Netherlands.

I once sat in a Tiger Moth...didn't go up in the air though...that would have been disastrous for my trousers!.....!!

How many of these beauties are flying in the Netherlands, any of the float plane variety?
According to Wiki an estimated 250 and growing are flying !
