Depicted are the Dutch three mast schooner Eendracht and the 'Trijntje Jacoba' (LE-27), sailing side by side on the North Sea.

LE-27' is the designator for a coastal fishing vessel (#27) with Lemmer (LE) as home port (Lemmer is a Dutch town adjacent to the east side of the IJsselmeer). Nowadays the LE-27 is decommissioned and converted for pleasure.

The daughter is a nature friend and relies on wind. The mother uses the motor. Here the question is who is overtaking whom. Nice capture of this unlike pair Cornelius.

Marvelous imagery Mr. C. I like that you caught them side by side. SO clear, and sharp, with good color, and I like the water movement.

Now that's a contrast in size. Elegant ships, both of them.

Beautiful perspective of size in this shot Mr. C. and it looks like a container ship in the distance that would dwarf them both!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
