It seems to me that it has it's eye on something in particular. Probably lunch that spotted the gull first, and won't reappear for quite a while. He will have to be patient for a little while longer. Outstanding crystal clear and colorful shot, Mr. C.

Very fitting description for this photo one sitting patently for a passing fish and you did a great job captureing this scene.Stunning colours detail and compotision and love the feeling of movement in the sea and nice light too.
