As you can see, it wasn't easy to maneuver this wooden sailing boat (formerly used as a fishing boat) in the narrow water for a sailing ride. Because it's a maritime heritage, one was very careful to prevent any damage.

This image was taken adjacent to the Lake of Veere, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

Wonderful POV on this, Cornelius. My eyes naturally follow the canal to see where this historic vessel is going. Bravo!

It is a beautiful sail boat, I'm such a fan of the woodwork of days gone by. They sure would have to know what their doing to prevent any damage to this beauty. Very good post Mr. C. I also like the movement of the water you captured as well. tigs=^..^=

The crew looks like they have a little heritage going for them too, SEA, but I bet they are on the straight and narrow. Great vantage point.

Talk about tight quarters to maneuver in. Excellent camera work in this photograph.

Full astern- stop - half ahead and hard-a-starboard :) I can read the manoeuvre clearly here Cornelius. Nice capture of the boat and crew with sharp details.

That's an interesting method of moving from the stern deck to the bow deck... on a gangplank of sorts. You've given us a number of views of these craft, C, but this is the first one I remember showing us more of how it works, how the deck is constructed, the scale of the craft, and how people move around on it. Dank je.
