Nice view of the lock entrance and surroundings Corelius. I particularly like the rippled water and that sky.

Everyday scene for you SEA but an unusual and beautiful one for me. I can almost feel the water moving because of the great detail in your photo.
Well composed.

Love this. So much happening. Great comparison between the modern cruiser and the classic moored vessel, all capped off with a threatening sky.

Seeing images like this and your newer one of the ocean storm surge control mechanisms raises a desire in me to someday visit Holland, and travel the waterways. A place where canals are so widespread (much more than Venice) and used almost like highways is something I find fascinating, here and canals of rural England. Thanks always, Mr. C., for showing us a unique part of our world that we wouldn't normally get to see.
