This B&W image was captured downtown Middelburg, a medieval town in Zeeland, The Netherlands.

It's my weekly contribution for the Wednesday B@W challenge.

Pristine clarity and splendid B/w tones Cornelius.
The curve of the wall draws one right into the scene and the clock tower is a perfect focal point.
Will be very pleased to add to the BWC :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Love that tower in the background Mr. C. - that must be from about the 1400's.

You have hit the nail at its head Kathy, because the original tower was built in 1371. The tower was reconstructed in the 50's of the 20th century because of destruction by WWII bombing!

Excellent composition and splendid in B+W. What we think of as old buildings here pale in comparison to things your country for instance.

Perfectly composed and taken photo. Strange but, even it's B&W I feel the warmth of the sun in this photo. Very well done.
