I like to show you another piece of avionic history. This time the ex US Army 'Piper L18-C Super Cub'.

'L-18C Super Cub' is the military designation of this plane for the United States Army, powered by a 95 hp (71 kW) Continental C90-8F piston engine. This 'Piper is a two-seat, single-engine monoplane', introduced in 1949 by Piper Aircraft. This one however was probably constructed in 1952.

This plane is sold on March 8th, 2006 to Dutch Owners. This image was taken in the vicinity of Zeeland Airport, The Netherlands.

This is my entry for the 'Motion' contest.

PS: to know more about this aircraft, please check-out this link.

Edit: according to Roger's (Palral) comment below: the sky is that natural as natural can be!

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I'm late to the party, Sea. If this is "People In The Air 22", you must have posted People In The Air 1-21 before we became Caedes friends. Either that or there are 22 people in this small plane in which case a better title would have been "22 People in the Air".

Anyway, it's a wonderful shot with a pretty darn nifty border. I'm wondering if it was a cloudy day when you took this photo or if you added the clouds. Either way, it's a fabulous shot. The next time I'm in San Luis Obispo, I think I'll head over to the airport and try to take some photos. While I won't shoot anything as good as this, it'll be interesting because there are no parking signs around the perimeter of the airport. If you don't hear from me for a while, Homeland Security thinks I'm an Islamic terrorist.
