Arnemuiden (peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands) is a small town with a rich maritime history. It's has an old authentic shipyard too. In the past wooden fishing boats were built there. Nowadays it only maintains or refurbishes these boats. Once a year a maritime event takes place, so yesterday too. Of course I was there and have taken 'some' (please notice the quotes) images. Here's one of the results.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Good shot. This image looks as though it could have been taken 100 years ago.

Houses and boats are painted such vibrant colors in your country and make for these wonderful bright photos that you capture. It is interesting to see these boats in the raw wood , without paint and I assume that they were stripped at this shipyard and will be repainted.

A question though. Is it always so sunny and bright in The Netherlands? If so, can you please send some of it over to the UK! I know we've voted out of the EU, but there's no need to stop us from having some sun! :)

---Is it always so sunny and bright in The Netherlands?----

Of course not MJ, but I'm a lazy photographer doing only my photo shoot when the weather circumstances are ideal, my friend, lol.
Thanks for your perceptiveness!

A painting or a wall hanging of this image would be perfect, bravo on this one Mr. C. You were in your elements that day with the boats, and really did a fine job on this one. tigs=^..^=

I'm glad MJ asked that question, because I had wondered the same thing as well. This looks like a very quaint maritime village, framed by trees and plants. Very nice!
