This image is the 1st one of a new series that will show you murals from the range of humorous, religious, artistic to cultural subjects, and painted in Zeeland, The Netherlands.

It's an, in 2014 painted, humorous mural on an almost 'blind' side wall of a house in the cosy medieval town of Zierikzee.

The woman in the upper window of the painted house on the right, is wearing traditional clothes, and is emptying a bucket full of water. The 'victim' is a Zeeland farmer wearing traditional clothes as well (incl. 'wooden shoes' or clogs), not being aware from the danger while reading his newspaper.

The mural is painted by Kianoosh Gerami, an artist from Teheran, Iran, and a member of the artist cooperative 'Kunstkwartier' in Zierikzee. On the sidewalk in front of the real house one can see the paintings made by the artist cooperative. They are for sale.

Because of the humorous /crazy aspects of this image, it's my entry for Manic Monday.

I was wondering how the roof is hanging in the sky Cornelius :) A view that can be easily mistaken for the real thing. Very Good artist and photographer.

The man receiving the water is the lazy husband perhaps. A bit of whimsy and the artist has a lot of talent as shown so well in this photo.

Great MM shot. Not sure if it's intentional or not, but the women standing in front of the mural is almost in the same pose of the painted women to the left of her.

We have some murals around our town but I think this one is really better, maybe not better just different. I like how you captured the couple admiring the artwork. At first I thought they were part of the mural. Good one Cornelius.

An architectural mural on a piece of architecture. To me that's part of the humor as well.
