The Zeeland farmers have held on September 3rd, 2016 the yearly ploughing competition.
The event took place on the peninsula South-Beveland, The Netherlands.
One could see ploughing with two or three draft horses together ('Folklore Ploughing), and ploughing with old ('Folklore Ploughing' too), and new tractors. In this series I'll show you, from time to time, the above mentioned disciplines. This is the 3rd one of this series, showing a modern tractor ready for ploughing.

A lot more horsepower with one of these but not the charm. Fine photo Cornelius.

That is one fabulous looking and costly tractor - I think this fellow plows more ground in a short time against the horses, lol. Fabulous colours an detail.

Now that's a familiar sight to us here in the corn belt - well taken Mr. C. The charm of the draft horses is missed however.
