We even have cormorants here. They must be a very adaptive bird. Excellent detail here, but I would have opted for a color version although it's a just a personal preference and no reflection on your wonderful image.
Very nice composition and b&w photo. This birds dark bodies are hard to take shots to show details in them. Your work is great to show gray scale in their bodies. Good luck in the contest.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
