'Ter Hooge' is the name for a castle and landed estates around this castle and is situated west of Middelburg at the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands. The first castle 'Ter Hooge' was built approximately 1300. Nowadays only one tower of the 'old' castle remains. The 'new' castle was built in 1754 - 1759 and is owned now by one family.

It's my weekly entry for the Wednesday B&W challenge (BWC).

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The b&w was a fine choice, Cornelius. The monochrome seems to bring out the fine detail in this image. I wonder what the utility bills would be in present day.

This does make a great B&W Mr. C - really nice range of tones and good detail. The framing sets it off perfectly.
