This is the 10th one of my series 'Nobility'. This series shows you captures of some horse driving and horse jumping competitions.

This one is taken on the occasion of the 'Jumpin'de Weel', a horse jumping event on the peninsula South-Beveland, The Netherlands. This lady and her horse apparently too are prepared for action. I wished them success just before they had started.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

They both look very elegant - well done Cornelius.
I am sure the rider would love this shot.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

She looks good but I am really more impressed with the horse. You captured the look of a true competitor and athlete of him in this picture.

This looks like a sport for the young and healthy and perhaps the wealthy. I'm not sure I could even afford that hat. The rider looks confident and happy. I think I would look more terrified and terrified. I was taken aback at your narrative "horse driving and horse jumping competitions" as my brain registered "diving" instead of "driving."

Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
