Another one of the Eastern Church, Middelburg, The Netherlands.

The Eastern Church (built from 1648 to 1667) is a octagonal domed church. This image was taken on December 4th, 2016, while the setting winter sun gave the windows of the dome a 'golden' touch. Just a pretty strange effect and no matter of selective coloring or other tricks, worthwhile to be captured. Hope you'll agree with me, ☺ .

It does have a eerie effect...Maybe one way of telling you there is a 'presence' in there eh!...
Good composition with the main part of the church in view!

I have seen something similar here too Cornelius. Well timed and beautiful capture of this sunset phenomenon.

It looks very impressive. I though before reading your narrative that the church must be lit from within.
You have added to the mystery with your placement of branches - I like it a lot :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Talk about the "golden hour!" this is really beautiful. And I like the framing of the trees.
