Saturday June 3rd, and Sunday June 4th, 2017, 141 singing choirs were hosted in the medieval town of Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands. They performed on various, most historic, places their repertoire. The public interest was high.

Of course, I had to make a choice and have selected some of their performances. I've enjoyed it very much. I also have tried to take some pictures. The latter however, wasn't that easy because of the restrictive circumstances. This is the second picture of the, on this occasion by me taken, mini series. It shows a choir that performs on a square in front of the historic abbey of Middelburg.

The festival had the name 'Volkoren'. In the Dutch language 'Volkoren' can be interpreted in two ways:

1. The name of a loaf of bread baked with not refined grain (whole grain bread);

2. (a city) full of choirs.

I prefer the second choice of the meaning Owd C....(I also like to try the bread as well ☺ )

We enjoy these 'concerts' whenever they tour our area....In fact..we are away next week to Wales...and will enjoy some of the Welsh Choirs while there...Good vantage point for this delightful capture!

The very good overall clarity and focus make this an attractive image of this scene Cornelius.

I'm more interested in the buildings in the background than the crowd of music lovers in the foreground. Extraordinary detail in the roof shingles and the brickwork. The architects of the day had style. Think of the work involved in putting those windows coming out of the roof. Must have been a beautiful day. The shade tree is missing most of the crowd yet they look comfortable.

Referring to Bruce's question above: all my images are taken with different Nikon DSLR-camera bodies in Raw. Nikon call them however NEF. To make a RAW/NEF image suitable to upload it in a PNG-format, RAW-processing is needed. This is done by me with the 'Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 8.5.0.236' program. It's a plug-in for the 'Adobe Photoshop Element 12.1' program.
The latter is only used by me if the image needs some fine tuning, e.g. cloning out, reducing (to a certain extent) chromatic aberrations, etc.

This photograph is slightly overexposed but I promise not to mention this subject again, honest. Forgive my bluntness but at my age it's too late to change now.

Progress equals a trashed planet since mankind is too busy altering it. BTW find the classic definition of Caedes here. Enjoy yourself today because you don't know what tomorrow may bring. (o:
