Well composed and beautiful shot with nice details Cornelius. There are a few such in Hamburg still. Not so nice to walk on the cobblestones.

About 45 years ago I lived on a cobblestone street. But this "alley" is barely wide enough for two women leaving McDonalds. Fine capture of the textures especially in the brick walls.

I used to run up and down an alley behind our house when I was kid that was also lined with hollyhocks. It was cinder however and not nearly as charming as this Mr. C. Well captured with very nice lighting.

It speaks to me of time, C... in the antiquity of the style of construction... in the covering growth of the trees and ivy... in what I'd enjoy spending here, exploring every turn in the walkway. Inviting and sublime.

Such a gorgeous lead up the cobble stone alley/path - amazing beauty in this scene and can almost feel the quietness of the walk
