The Zeeland draft horses foundation has recently organized a scenic countryside ride on the peninsula South-Beveland, Zeeland, The Netherlands, with ten authentic/antique carriages pulled by draft horses. Some of the 'passengers' were wearing traditional costumes.
This is the 1st on of a new series, that will show you from time to time some images of this event.

Great picture, Mr C. I think I would love to take this countryside tour and via the horse carriages. I also think I would like to be in the lead carriage.
I could not help but to think back to the Seinfeld episode, Rusty!. I have empathy and sympathy for the couple in the final carriage in your picture.

Draft horses are my favorite breeds of the species; powerful, usually great coloring, and often gentle animals that don't mind human attentions. And here you've given us an entire parade of them. Off of Caedes and directly into my wallpaper folder, thanks, C.! Beaucoup!
