A Dutch landscape view in B&W, taken on July 18th, 2017 on the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

Referring to the most recent comment of Lyn in THIS THREAD, hope that this B&W image will be a candidate entry for the Wednesday B&W Challenge this week.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Looks very nice in b/w with all the different tones of grey. A good one for the b/w challenge.

The long grasses add a lovely softness to the excellent B&W photo Cornelius. It has everything a landscape needs - a fine lead in, a great focal point and the sky gives an atmosphere. I am delighted to add another of your fine works to he BWC list for tomorrow. Thank you

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Hmmmmm... a canal... a windmill... a western European gabled farmhouse. Yeeeeeaah, it certainly looks Dutch to me. The composition is perfect, C. If you had used filters to make it look like an oil it could easily pass for a Vermeer.

A B/W beauty - the contrast offered in b/w show the details of this great composition.
