Els has, in her narrative of this one, already noticed that the Autumn leaves in our area aren't that beautiful when compared to last year.

So I was curious, and went to the same spot where I took this capture last year.

What a difference, hence my title, ☺ .

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Yes there is quite a difference - I do really like the freshness of the greens in this one :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I see the difference quite clearly Cornelius. Temperature and sunlight are supposed to be the main factors that effect the colours in autumn. We had much cooler weather than you and some sunshine too. In spite of all that this is a lovely shot.

There is a difference for sure, but it's still a lovely image, and we are having about the same conditions here this year. tigs=^..^=

Mostly Green with a touch of Auburn and a bit of Browny Red in between!

Yes C...it won't be long before it will be white!...

It's a different palette but just as lovely Mr. C. Our autumn colors have been less than stellar as well this year.

Amazing how much difference a year makes SEA. The mirror tells me that every time I shave.
Beautiful with the lighting.

Not quite as beautiful, but still a gorgeous shot.

The clouds and sky is a good contrast for the trees. I like the leaning of the trees which follow the river line.

Here on the U.S. northern plains, we had a drought for several months this past summer, resulting in earlier changes in the leaves and not the same color as in previous years. Perhaps you had something similar? Nice shot, even though.
