The Zeeland draft horses foundation had organized, at the end of July 2017, a scenic countryside ride on the peninsula South-Beveland, Zeeland, The Netherlands, with authentic/antique carriages pulled by draft horses.
I took 'some' images of this event. This is the 3rd one of a this series.

Draft horses are such magnificent animals and my favorite horse, I think because they are usually so gentle despite being so large and powerful. Perhaps that's why? They realize no one can mess with them so why bother fostering a nasty temperament. When I was much younger I visited with a pair of Belgians at our local zoo. I had a handful of corn and the draft took my entire hand in his mouth and tongued the corn right off, leaving a thick layer of saliva in it's place. It took only a few seconds for him to do that but I could feel his teeth along the sides of my hand and across my wrist... and he didn't apply any pressure! Now, that's a soft touch.

Their faces are as clear as your pilots in the "People In The Air," series SEA. Plus, they are much closer. I see, unlike the Amish, they don't mind having their photo taken. The horses were talking in Dutch, so I couldn't understand them. All I got was, camera.........
