In order to fulfill a request of 'Nik', done in his comment on THIS ONE I've uploaded an image of tree small harbor tugs sailing in the Canal through Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands, on their way to a maritime event.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Oooooooo... my dad would have loved this. I'll have to save, fave, and print this one out for the day when I'm able to complete that model that's waiting for me. Many thanks. I had found this one in the Caribbean, a view of the deck of a tug shot by Pfaff, in 2008. Do you happen to know if the decks on Dutch tugs are similar? Solid painted marine plywood or deckboards? I wish that I'd had a decent camera when I was in the Navy, back in the early 70's. While stationed in the Philippine Islands at Olongapo, I would ride a bus every day from our Barracks at Subic out to our Seabee compound, passing a docked harbor tug with the surprising name of my home town in North Dakota. At the very least I should have gone out there on a weekend to visit the boat, but I was 19 and dumb.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
