Such an elegant bird - totally unaware he is being watched - good capture Cornelius

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

No to mention a long, slim, pointy beak for spearing and picking breakfast, lunch, and supper. Impressive bird. Excellent photo.

A bit like us 'human' fishermen!...we always had patience to sit on a bank-side for hours waiting for a nibble!

Many apologies for lack of comments, it seems my time is always needed, even during my retirement.
The Heron is a constant visitor to the countryside where we live, and we love to see them. Good capture Mr C :)

Marvelous detail and capture, they sure know how to stand still or walk slowly through the water without scaring off any of their food swimming by.

The look as if they are meditating but are concentrating and ready to pounce at the sign of any movement in the water. Good one of the heron Cornelius.

I observe them on our little lake too Mr. C. and I also believe they are always ready to pounce. Nice capture of him ready to go!

There must be a lot of these birds because it seems they are everywhere SEA. It is difficult to get a shot as good as this one. Kudos to you.
