This image was taken on May 6th, 2018 just outside the old/medieval part of Middelburg town, Zeeland, The Netherlands. It was a relatively hot (25 degrees Celsius / 77 degrees Fahrenheit) and hazy day. When enlarged I think to see to a certain extent the trembling air around the silhouetted buildings.

The silhouette shows from left to right the Eastern Church, the steeple with the nickname 'Tall John',a part of the medieval Abbey, and the medieval Town Hall.

Some Exif data: Fl: 112 mm, Exposure time: 1/250', Aperture: F11, ISO number: 100.

I really like that you can "see" the weather that day in this shot Mr. C. - beautiful silhouette.

I agree with Kathy, that sky really adds a super element to this fine image of yours Mr. C. Love the contrasts of color in this one.

The buildings look quite sharp at full size, an amazing shot at that distance.

Dang!! What a beautiful shot Mr. C:):) You are right, the town is 'mid'way but it doesn't look 'evil' to me, at least not from here:) Love that yellow field of yellow........something:):) Some form of flowering plants, that's a safe description for now:) I love the unity here "C" man:) Lovely post.

The green meadow in front and all the trees further back plus of course the steeples and the dome in the distance make this an attractive image Cornelius.

I enlarged a copy in Photoshop and saw that same heat warp, making me wonder if you had close cropped the photo to include just the structures you mention in your narrative, and possibly finish it as a pano, that heat warp might be used to your advantage? Since our original images are often much larger than the 3200px that Caedes hold us to (well, some of us, anyway), cropping the original for this one down to the structures would allow for the finished image of that area to be larger than it is here, and the warp would come across as an abstract form. Just a thought, C (hope I wasn't too confusing).

Beautiful yellow/green meadow leading to a pretty sky...I can also see the effect of the heat around that distant building...but isn't it nice to have the warmer temps now:)...lovely shot SEA.
