In my garden I've some berry bushes too. At this time of the year, usually nets are placed over. This year it was too much effort for me because of physical reasons. As you can see, this young rascal, like his companions, has/have taken full advantage of this opportunity with the result that meanwhile almost all the berries are consumed, but not by me, ☺!

At least you got this beautiful shot as a reward and compensation for the loss. Nice and well taken shot Cornelius.

Ah what a beauty. This bird looks like 'the cat that got the cream' but it is 'the bird that got the redcurrants'
Perfect timing by you Cornelius to get the berry in the beak !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Hah! You caught him "red-beaked", as it were. The same thing happens to a wild grape arbor on the south side of our house. They, however, are small and hard and not meant for our consumption. His yellow-orange beak and matching eye-ring stand out here almost as bright as the berries.

Perfectly timed and like the detail and clarity, plus the way he's looking right with the gleam in his eye
